Are fountain nozzles only for aesthetic purposes?

Yes, if you are looking for an aerating fountain, we recommend the Air-O-Lator Carnival Aerating Fountain. The Matala Fountain is for aesthetics only. This is the case with 99% of fountains you see in lakes and dams.

What are fountain nozzles made of?

Nozzles are manufactured using a variety of materials. Our Matala range is made from brass - this is because of its high level of durability and corrosion resistance. You'll also find nozzles made from other elements such as stainless steel, plastic, and ceramic. All are good materials and don't usually have a meaningful impact on the final result.

Can I use these nozzles on other fountain systems?

While Matala nozzles naturally fit with Matala fountains, you'll still be able to attach the units onto other makes and models providing that the dimensions are the same.

Why does my nozzle spray look uneven?

This is likely an indication that something may be blocking one or more of your nozzle outlets. While pump filters do a good job of catching debris, it can't always capture everything, so detach your nozzle to see if there are any blockages. You may also want to do a maintenance check on the pump or piping, as this may also be where the issue is stemming from.
